The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
